Street in Pendlebury

Painted later in his career, this street is where Lowry lived and worked for over 40 years. Typical of his style figures are captured going about their normal day, creating an un-posed and dynamic image with movement. 

Also typical is the elevated, bird’s eye point of view from which Lowry depicts the scene.
